Gallery Oldham has an extensive range of exhibitions across four galleries as well as an exciting Community Gallery programme. We also hold events, courses, talks and concerts as well as popular schools workshops and family activities.
Gallery Oldham brings together what were once separate museum and gallery services. Our programming incorporates Oldham’s extensive art, social and natural history collections alongside touring work, newly commissioned and contemporary art, international art and work produced with local communities.
We have been collecting artworks and objects since 1883 and are still collecting today.
Our collections belong to the people of Oldham and everyone is free to come and view these items. Gallery Oldham’s job is to make sure these items are displayed or stored safely and that they are accessible.
Talks, events and activities are another key part of programming at Gallery Oldham.
There’s a fun mix of events for families during all school holidays. And for adults we offer a range of informative art and craft courses that are suitable for all levels of ability.
